Fog:

Fog sunk in like gravity sags skin
Thick enough to cut
Lightened by car horns and tail lights

The drawbridge opens
For sailors blue hale
Cotton sails closed in tightly

Rusting cages skimmed green with seaweed
Parked cars waiting to pass
Jones Beach fireworks, cancelled

Boardwalk honeymooners
Clear water down to the white sand
Rough waters, stuffed flounders

Glimpses of blue sky's
Hidden brush, Cap Tree's midnight fishers.
East Coast Long Island

Memories hidden within folds of history
Torn down house built upright with no rhythm to its reason
